Subscription Update Obituary

Albert H. Paradis, 82, of 65 Smithville Rd. died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at home after a long illness surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his loving & devoted wife of 59 years, Pauline (Letendre) Paradis; three sons, Paul & his wife Nancy, & David both of Spencer and Leo & his wife Gail of Spencer; four daughters, Ann Wilkinson & her husband James, & Janet Sanborn & Brian Huard of North Brookfield, Rita Beauregard & her husband Paul of Auburn and Lori O'Connell & her husband Mark of Belchertown. He also leaves four sisters & two brothers; 26 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, a brother and a beloved grandchild.

Albert was born in Spencer the son of Adlar & Evelyn (Cournoyer) Paradis and had been a lifelong resident of Spencer. He worked for many years at Ragsdale Chevrolet in Spencer as a mechanic. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and was a member of the Spencer American Legion Post 138 and the Spencer/Brookfields VFW Post 530.

The funeral for Albert will be held on Friday, June 8, 2007 from Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer with a 10:00 AM Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, North Brookfield Rd., East Brookfield. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton with Military Honors. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home. Donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, C/O the Foundation, 16 Shaffner St., Worcester, MA 01605. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Paulette Hallihan.
